Dr. Kyootai Lee is a Professor of Graduate School of Management of Technology at Sogang University. He is also serving as Vice President of Research Affairs and Vice Director of Research and Business Development (R&BD) Foundation at the university. He has been a visiting scholar in the department of Organization and Strategy of the School of Business and Economics, Maastricht University (July, 2019 ~ June, 2020). Before joining Sogang University, he was an assistant professor at School of Technology Management at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). Dr. Lee earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration (Emphasis on Information Systems & Technology, Minor in Marketing) at University of Missouri-St.Louis. When he was in the Ph.D. program, he was selected as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar.

His papers have been published in Research Policy, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Information & Management, Journal of Business Venturing Insights, Leadership Quarterly, Family Business Review, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, European Management Journal, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Business Research, European Management Review, and The Data Base for Advances in Information Systems among others. His research has also been presented at several conference proceedings (e.g. AOM, SIOP, SMS, etc.). His research has been supported by Korean Research Foundation since 2014. 

Recently his research on AI and decision-making was nominated for the best paper awards at Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS-55) in 2022. He has served as an editorial board member for Journal of Innovation & Knowledge and Journal of Global Information Technology Management. He is also Editor-in-Chief of Korean Journal of Technology Innovation(from 2023 ~).

Hyunkyu Park is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Management of Technology at Sogang University. Prior to joining Sogang, he served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Sussex Business School. Hyunkyu earned his Ph.D. in Technology and Innovation Management from the University of Cambridge.

His research focuses on entrepreneurship and venture investment, drawing on his managerial experience as a general partner in venture capital funds and his industry background in computer programming at LG CNS. His work has been published in leading academic journals, including the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal and the British Journal of Management.

Professor Park leads the Centre for Open Entrepreneurship, which develops enterprise AI models and products, and conducts technology trend analysis using data mining techniques. The lab regularly collaborates with large corporations, SMEs, and startups, and has successfully completed more than 12 industry projects over the past three years.

In 2025, he published “Cost-Effectively Leveraging Digital Capital to Develop Means for Effectual Decision-Making” in the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal.

Soojin Park is an Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Management of Technology at Sogang University. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Engineering and her M.S. degree in Information Processing from Sogang University, and her B.S. in Computer Engineering from Kyungpook National University, South Korea. Before starting her Ph.D. studies, she worked as a technical consultant at Rational Software Korea and a software engineer at LG-CNS. Her research areas include software requirements engineering, software development process innovation, and big data analysis on software process tailoring. She currently teaches courses on AI/DX Project Management, Data Engineering Programming, and Requirements Engineering in the DX Era. She is active as a director and an academic committee member of the Korea Software Engineering Society.

Byung-Seon Jeong is an Associate Professor in Graduate School of Management of Technology at Sogang University in South Korea. He is a policy maker with over 30 years’ experience as the president of KISTEP and a senior government official working for the Ministry of Science and Technology and OECD since 1991. Work experience at KISTEP, the Korean government, and OECD has provided him with capabilities for managing projects and analyzing complex policy issues related to science and technology innovation policy. In addition, he is proficient in developing AI applications run by python programming such as RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) and AI agents.

Jinhyuck (Joseph) Park is an Associate Professor in Graduate School of Management of Technology at Sogang University in South Korea. He obtained a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Economics from Seoul National University (Seoul, South Korea). He studied at UNU-MERIT and Maastricht University (Maastricht, Netherlands) where he received a Ph.D. in economics and innovation strategy. His research focuses on innovation and international business studies, particularly intellectual property rights, international R&D investments, knowledge spillovers, and innovation strategies of multinational enterprises. He has published in leading management journals including Strategic Management Journal and Industrial Corporate Change. He currently coordinates and teaches Global Innovation Strategy course, Statistics for Innovation Studies course, and Strategic Simulation Game course at Sogang University. He also serves as an Engagement officer of Strategic Management Society (SMS; Corporate Strategy group).

Dr. Juram Kim is an Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Management of Technology at Sogang University. She received her B.A. in Business Administration and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering (integrated master’s and doctoral program) from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). She previously worked as a Senior Researcher at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI). Her primary research interests include technology management, machine learning, and deep learning applications. Her work has been published in several international journals, including Technovation, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and Advanced Engineering Informatics. In 2023, she was honored with the Minister’s Award from the Ministry of Education for outstanding achievement in the government-funded academic research support program.

Professor Moon-Hwan Kim is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Management of Technology at Sogang University, where he specializes in venture finance, the startup ecosystem, and university–SME collaboration. He received his B.A. in Economics from Yonsei University, an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado in the United States, and a Ph.D. in Technology Economics from Hannam University.

Since beginning his public service career in 1994, Professor Kim has devoted nearly three decades to advancing policies in support of startups and SMEs, including initiatives in R&D strategy, globalization, and venture finance, through his tenure at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency.
